As many of you know I have split my websites into two – one for portraits and this one for weddings, engagements and elopements.  I will be writing new content for this website, however, to get things started I am bringing over a few of my fave blogs from www.SilverSparrowPhoto.com.  So I wanted to share one of my favorite winter engagement sessions. I have loved getting to know these two and am very excited to share these wonderful images once again! 

I ask every couple a few questions to get to know them a bit better. When I heard how these two met I was nothing but smiles. It’s such a sweet story! From the happy couple – We officially met our freshman year of high school in Mrs. Blaze’s English class. After dating for a brief moment, we decided to just be friends. We had at least one class together each semester after that and stayed in the same friend group. After going onto college, we remained friends and grabbed lunch or coffee every time we were both back in town visiting family. Right before our senior year of college, we expressed our feelings for each other and have been dating ever since. 

When I ask how the proposal happened, the story was just as sweet as how they met! It was right before Christmas 2015 and Tommy was going to be spending New Years with his family in Mexico. He told Krystal he was taking her out to dinner to celebrate New Years early before he left on vacation. They went to Seasons 52 and the waiter took them to a table in a back room covered with flower petals and a vase of roses and lilies. After ordering wine, Tommy got down on one knee and explained that even though neither of them knew what was going to happen in the future with their careers or anything else, he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Krystal. She happily said yes as he slid the ring onto her finger. The waiter captured this moment with the camera that Tommy provided him.

What are some hobbies or activities you love doing as a couple? Hiking, cooking, camping, playing with our two doggies, grocery shopping, long walks.

What’s your favorite moment from your relationship so far? Spending Christmas with each other and our families.

What are your future plans together? After marriage, we can’t tell the future, but we know we will be spending it together.

How did you choose your wedding venue etc? We both fell in love with the location and the venue when we visited Willow Ridge Manor

What are you most excited about on your wedding day? We are most excited about the expression of love ceremony where we can share our personal vows with each other in front of all of our friends and family,

Are there any special moments that you are looking forward to? Our first look before anyone else sees us!
