This week I wanted to blog about something super fun, super helpful, and super personal!
Right here is my list of our BEST romantic wedding venues in Colorado, based on my experience as a wedding photographer.
We always love hearing about new venues or about some of your favorites and why so please comment below and let us know your thoughts!
When we work at venues we get to see behind the scenes, how the venue operates, what’s good, what’s bad, and what makes them super special. I’ve worked at so many amazing wedding venues in Colorado, and these consistently rank as my favorites.
MY COLORADO WEDDING VENUES SHORTLIST
Moss Denver is a newer venue in Colorado with an authentic industrial vibe; the building used to be a working factory with history that goes back over 100 years!
Wide open rooms, exposed brick, wooden beams, and gleaming floors offer endless decor opportunities (not to mention all of that space for your guests!).
Afternoon light pours through the old factory windows (as a wedding photographer I’m always looking for light, of course), while the evening hours are lit by the warm glow of string lights and and chandeliers.
I LOVE the industrial vibe of this venue. There is a moss wall (great for portraits or as a backdrop to your indoor wedding ceremony), a totally custom waterfall bar (you have to see it, it’s amazing!), and a variety of rooms to customize your wedding.
You can have your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all on site and utilize the space in a way that each feels like a fresh new space as you move through the day.
Moss Denver is centrally located in the Sante Fe Arts District.

This venue is located on the Raccoon Creek Golf Course in Littleton, CO.
It is a well manicured yet ‘rustic’ Colorado wedding venue that is perfect for outdoor weddings followed by cocktails on a patio.
As a wedding photographer, I love the Barn at Raccoon Creek because there are PLENTY of opportunities for gorgeous romantic portraits right on site.
The Bridal “house” is light and bright with plenty of space for everyone to get ready and hang out before the ceremony.
A ceremony spot tucked next to the barn and flanked by trees makes it the perfect classic spot for vows!
After the ceremony, you and your guests can play lawn games (there is a ton of room) and enjoy outdoor cocktails. The red barn is a beautiful space for your reception, ready to be decorated with your own personal touch.
The Red Barn at Raccoon Creek is a great rustic venue right in the heart of Littleton, CO.

Willow Ridge Manor in Morrison, CO is a classic Colorado favorite. It’s a little victorian charm paired with unobstructed views of red rocks.
A large white reception building sits on the hillside with balconies to take in the scenery and a grand entrance (perfect for photos and your Grand Exit at the end of your wedding day!).
The outdoor ceremony space honors the gorgeous views, and after the ceremony it’s just a quick hop directly onto the rocks for stunning and unique Colorado inspired wedding photos.
I love Willow Ridge Manor for its location (Morrison, CO is easy to get to and still feels like a luxurious and unique destination), it’s BIG reception space for cocktails, dinner, and dancing, and those stunning outdoor ceremony spaces.
Willow Ridge Manor is easy to get to for guests staying in Denver, Golden, Littleton, or even Evergreen.

VRBO weddings are an often unexpected and surprisingly fun way to plan a Colorado wedding!
Private home weddings tend to be incredibly relaxed, memorable for guests, and gorgeous. Access to unique ceremony and portrait spaces is one of the biggest benefits of finding a wedding-friendly VRBO to host your event!
This couple wanted their wedding to have certain style, but wanted to also stay within their budget.
Instead of ditching some of the “must haves”, they opted to have a much smaller wedding with close family and friends at a VRBO in Breckenridge, CO.
This was a great way for them to get everything they wanted without breaking the bank!
This particular VRBO has stunning views and plenty of open space for photos.
Because Breckenridge is such a great destination spot, there are plenty of hotels near the cabin for guests to stay.
The BEST part was that my couple was able to relax and enjoy the entire day without stress!

This VRBO was in Breckenridge, though there are many like it. For details on the specific location and listings for this intimate Colorado wedding venue, get in touch!
